Another night of mine, a patient with history of congestive cardiac failure and diabetics metillus observed to have shortness of breath, vital signs was, 202/178mmHg, 125bpm with saturation room air 72%, blood glucose level 8.2mmol/l.
Informed the HO at once, also say the same thing. NOTED.
But after all the necessary things are done, putting up oxygen, doing electrocardiogram, etc. The patient become much better, vitals are back to normal range.
The doctor came 20 minutes later.
Guess where were he when we contacted him.
At SGH. Are house officers allowed to leave the hospital premises when they are on call?!
